Cairo And The Holy Land

Day 1

 

Arrive Cairo Airport where you will be met by our friendly representative who will assist you through customs formalities. Transfer to your hotel and overnight.

 

Day 2

 

After breakfast. Enjoy an excursion to visit the necropolis of Sakkara to see the step pyramid of king Zoser, the oldest pyramid in the world and Memphis; the legendary city of Menes, the king who united Upper and Lower Egypt. Continue your tour visiting the most famous and prominent monuments at Giza Plateau the Three Pyramids of Mycerinus, Chefren and the great Pyramids of Cheops and the Great Sphinx, guardian of the royal tombs dating back to the third millennium. Back to your hotel and overnight.

 

Day 3

 

After breakfast. You will visit Egyptian Museum, an unrivaled warehouse of Pharaonic treasures. Among the many exhibits are the fabulous artifacts recovered by archeologist Howard Carter from the tomb Tutankhamen, continue to the Citadel of Salah el-Din, a spectacular medieval fortress dating from the 12th century and one of the finest examples of Muslim military architecture and Mohamed Ali Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came specially from Istanbuland built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt who ruled Over 45 years. visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar a vast outdoor array of stalls selling everything from food and spices to leather goods and Jewelry. Bargaining is expected, so come ready to negotiate. Back to your hotel and overnight.

 

DAY 4:

 

We set out from Taba, and drive through Eilat along the Arava Valley, we take picture of Lut’s wife, visit Qumran where the scrolls were found, then towards the Dead Sea, where we stop for a lunch break and dip in its unique and healthy water.  Then we ascend to Jericho, Jericho is the oldest city in the world is 10,000 years old, visiting the Tree Zacchaeus, Mt. Of Temptation (Matthew 4: 1-11) to see where Jesus fasted 40 days and 40 nights, the spring Elisa, the ancient walls of Jericho, then to Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY  5:

 

 Breakfast at hotel. Proceed  to visit   Ein Karem for visit St. John the Baptist Church and Church of Visitation  ,  where the Blessed Virgin Mary visited Elizabeth . Drive to visit  Bethlehem , after  the lunch , we will  visit the Church of Nativity the traditional birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem . Visit also the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity and the Manger Square. Visit also the Milk Grotto.  Drive to visit  the  Shepherds Field, the site where the star appeared to the shepherds which lead them to the manger where baby Jesus was born overnight in Bethlehem

 

DAY 6:

 

After breakfast ,  Start the full day tour at Mount of Olives to visit the Ascension Chapel where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Visit the Church of  Pater  Noster  to witness the “Lord’s Prayer’ written in several languages. Proceed to the church of Dominus Flevit (God Wept) where God wept over Jerusalem. Continue by walking down the Palm Sunday road to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane See the Rock of Agony the place where Jesus prayed before the Roman soldiers came for Him . we visit to visit Bethany( El-Azarieh) lies 2 miles east of Jerusalem , After the lunch will visit the Mount Zion area to see the Upper Room where Jesus and His disciples had their last supper. See also King David’s tomb, Return to hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 7:

 

Breakfast at the hotel, drive  to visit the Church of St. Anne , Pool of Bethesda. Then continue to Via Dolorosa starting from the first station  (condemnation ) to the   fourteen stations  inside the  Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified  died and the resurrection   from the dead. After the lunch, continue crossing the old City of Jerusalem (The old Bazar) , the Jewish Quarter  where the remains of the holy temple and the  Wailing Wall . Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem .

 

Day 8:

 

After breakfast we drive to visit the City Haifa  , the  Mt. Carmel. The view from this mountain is famous for its beauty, Bahai’s  gardens ,  we can also visit the Carmelite monastery Stella Maris( Mar Elias) , where”Elijah’s Cave” can be seen, then to Akko, the we visit Nazareth the old market in the old city Nazareth and after the lunch in local oriental  restaurant  in Nazareth we will visit the shrives of Nazareth ( the basilica and the grotto of the annunciation- and the work’s shop of Joseph the old Synagogue ,and Mary’s well, then O/N  in Nazareth .

 

DAY 9:

 

Today we visit the places where Jesus acted around the Sea of Galilee, on the way we stop at Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water to wine at the Wedding, Mt. of the Beatitudes, where the “Sermon on the Mount” was given .Proceed to Tabgha :  It is a place with a plentiful supply of water  .  Traditionally , this is the site where Jesus fed 5000 with  2 fish and 5 loaves (Mark 6:36-44 , Matthew 14:13-21  John 6:1-6), walking down to primacy of peter ( Mensa Christi)then proceeding to the town of Christ  ( Capernaum). After the lunch (Peter fish)  , we will sail   on the sea in a boat similar  to the boat used by Jesus and his disciples, then visit the Yardinit baptism site,  Overnight o/n Nazareth .

 

Day 10:

 

Breakfast and check out from the hotel, then proceed to the airport for Departure.
